At Cup of Tea Psychotherapy, we consider psychotherapy an act of self-care and self-love. Our aim is to create a safe, warm, and welcoming space for you to explore your inner world and gain insight into the root cause of your suffering. We are client-centred which means that we work with what YOU want to work with. By building a psychotherapeutic relationship, you will work with your therapist to create positive change in thinking, feeling, behaviour, and social functioning.

We use a unique holistic approach to help clients of various age (adults 18+), culture, and spirituality/religion overcome anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma (PTSD & c-PTSD), grief, interpersonal issues, burnout, and work-related stress to name a few. We also love helping our clients explore existential questions, move through creative blocks, and find their unique purpose in life.

We will typically focus on helping you develop a kinder and more compassionate mind which makes it easier for you to make decisions that improve your health & wellbeing, benefiting you and your loved ones.

We can't promise that we have all the answers, but we can promise that we will listen closely to you to help you align mind, body, and soul... in a way that feels right to you.

You are welcomed here, as the beautiful, messy, and complicated human that you are!

Founder of Cup of Tea Psychotherapy

Chantal believes healing is a lifelong journey of becoming. One day at a time, becoming who we were always meant to be. Inspired by the compassionate teachers who showed her the way forward, she dedicates her time and energy helping others find their way, too.

Chantal offers a non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely. With the willingness to be vulnerable, you can peel back the layers of suffering and let your light shine through. Most importantly, Chantal hopes this sacred space can help you feel seen, heard, empowered, valued, and cared for.

She is an active practitioner, student, and teacher of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. With a holistic approach to psychotherapy, Chantal believes in working together with her clients to move towards desired goals and increase wellbeing. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma (PTSD and c-PTSD), grief, interpersonal issues, burnout, and work-related stress. She also integrates the dimensions of culture, and spirituality/religion when appropriate.

Chantal is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. In the context of her Masters degree in Counselling, Psychotherapy, and Spirituality from Saint-Paul University, she completed a research thesis, evaluating the impacts a self-care program for trainee therapists combining yoga and journaling. She also received with the highest distinction a BA specialized in psychology from the University of Ottawa. Chantal has additional training and experience working with Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). She also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
